How do I get a Consultant?
Students may approach relevant family friends, local business people,
or an older student; or their teacher (or parent) may
approach someone on their behalf.
To help them, you as a teacher could facilitate a
group brainstorm of possible consultants, as well as compile a
list of people in the wider school community and local business who
would be willing to act as consultants for students.
If you are still having problems at this point,
then contact Jessie McKenzie at the Royal Society of New Zealand
(email: jessie.mckenzie@rnsz.org
Phone: 04 470 5789).
Of course, students must keep themselves safe. The
experience with CREST however, shows the community is full of people
willing to help students with projects they have
initiated themselves.
